Prem and Heather

Mysore Classes:

Whether you are a beginner or advanced practitioner you will benefit from the combined 50 year teaching experience of Prem and Heather in their mysore classes. They work together to meet you where you're at. They facilitate the deepening of your awareness by taking you step by step, using the principles of Ashtanga Yoga and Ayurveda. Having two teachers in the room allows you to receive more attention to detail in your practice. You also receive private instruction in a intimate group setting. These classes reflect the essence of the Ashtanga method. The Intensives/Workshops are meant to support a student's daily practice. They combine a flowing blend of asana work as well as discussion and theory...in a fun, inspiring, and informative way.




Description of Intensives



Weekend; 1 week; 2 week; and 1 month


Ashtanga/Ayurveda Weekend Intensive:
  • Theory of Core practices: Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Ayurveda- Saturday
  • Mysore Practice/ Cooking class/ Lunch (eating what you prepared)/Asana adjustment clinic-Sunday
1 Week Intensive:
  • Sat/Sun Weekend Workshop (as above)
  • Sun-Fri morning mysore classes: 7:30 9:30 am
  • Mon-Friday 5 afternoon sessions 2-5pm including: Yoga Philosophy(8 limbs); Pranayama/Meditation; Ashtanga yoga/Ayurveda diet; Q & A on Primary series/application and theory; Tantra "the Art of Living".
2 Week Intensives:
  • Second Series workshop
  • Afternoon series: a deepening on the topics of Ashtanga, Ayurveda, Tantra;
  • ongoing education for "teachers-in-training" and those currently teaching
1 month Intensive for Teachers and "Teacher in Training"
1 year minimum of Mysore self practice; * Interview required
  • Ashtanga Mysore classes: primary and intermediate
  • In- depth study of yoga sutras/philosophy
  • Ashtanga specific alignment
  • Study of vinyasa /drishti/ bandha
  • Deepening your personal practice
  • Adjustment clinics
  • Ayurveda Theory and Application for Lifestyle and diet; cooking classes
  • Ayurvedic guideline for individual practice
